Tayo Faniran, first runner-up and former Nigerian BBA Hotshots housemate received a huge official welcome last weekend.

After 63 days of a well played game, Tayo Faniran, first runner-up and Nigerian BBA Hotshots housemate recently returned home and was welcomed with all the pomp befitting a hotshot.

He said: “I was really shocked when IK declared Idris the winner of the show. I genuinely thought I would win, or at least be declared a co-winner! Nonetheless I’m incredibly grateful for the unique opportunity and exposure Big Brother has given me. All I can tell Nigerians, Africa and the rest of the world now is ‘watch this space!".

Pan-Yoruba social cultural association, Afenifere Renewal Group, has accused former President Olusegun Obasanjo of laying the foundation for the problems currently confronting Nigeria.

The group in an electronic mail sent out to journalists over the weekend by its Publicity Secretary, Kunle Famoriyo, noted that though Obasanjo laid the foundation for the problems, the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan was responsible for the worsening insecurity, economic crisis and corruption in the country.

Great White Shark Found Dead On Beach In… Utah… Yes, The State of Utah

MAGNA, Utah-
A man from a small town near the Great Salt Lake in Utah stumbled upon something he said he could never have prepared himself for — a dead great white shark. 67-year old John Brownson said the shark was 10-12 feet long and looked like it had not been dead for long.

Local police told CityWorldNews that they could not determine if the shark had been living in the lake or if pranksters had placed the shark. They also speculated it could have been held in a private aquarium (although white sharks have rarely survived captivity) and the owner could no longer care for the shark and released it into the Great Salt Lake.
One resident had previously called police during a windstorm saying he saw a strange fish-shaped object flying high through the sky. Police discounted that report at the time, and still remain extremely skeptical, but they will ask experts if a violent storm could have possibly carried the shark inland

Over the years, James has used many pan handling gimmicks: crutches to gain sympathy, worn an eye patch, told people he was a Vietnam veteran and, at one point, had a litter of kittens he used to draw people in. Dead Mother Gives Birth In Coffin

CULICAN, Mexico– A woman amazingly gave birth to a 5-pound 2-ounce baby as her casket was being lowered into a grave – 23 hours after she died.
“I’ve been a doctor for 22 years and if this isn’t a miracle and a medical first, I don’t know what is,” said the physician who pronounced the woman dead after she suffered massive head and chest injuries in a brutal vengeance attack carried out by a drug cartel.
“There is no possible way for this baby girl to have survived 23-hours after her mother was killed, it’s truly a medical impossibility. But as God as my witness the baby did survive – and there’s not a doctor in the world who can explain it.”
An account of the incident that appeared in a major medical newsletter noted that the woman was 7 1/2 months pregnant at the time of the accident. And the emergency room physician who pronounced the woman and her baby dead was quoted as saying that he could not detect the heartbeat of the unborn child – which was still in the womb.

Presidency tells Senators to focus on more important issues

The Presidency has finally responded to recent reports that some aggrieved lawmakers are plotting to impeach President Goodluck Jonathan.

63 Senators, including eight from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), have reportedly lent their support to the plans to unseat the president.

63 Senators, including eight from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party have reportedly lent their support to plans to unseat the president.However, the Presidency, via a statement issued by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Doyin Okupe, stated that the legislators should focus their minds on more important matters instead of planning to remove Jonathan.

The statement reads:

“The Senate in the last four years has conducted its legislative functions and responded to issues that are of great national importance with commendable political sagacity.”

“In this same period, the senate has functioned as a stabilising force within the polity employing much political maturity that is required to guide and protect our nascent democracy.”

“However, confrontation and strong disagreements are not uncommon phenomenon in Executive-Legislative relationship world-wide."
