Jessica Kennaway - whose family have owned the Escot estate, in Devon,
for centuries - said she threw the private, outdoor bash as a joint
celebration marking her friend's 18th birthday and her going away. But
police were called to the stately home and sprawling estate near Ottery
St Mary, East Devon at around 4am on Sunday following complaints about
the noise.
