A number of Nigerian celebrities have had to say painful goodbye's to members of their families recently.
In the space of three weeks, Pulse.ng reported five of these events.
- Dimeji Alara: Dimeji is the current editor of Genevieve magazine and a leading wardrobe stylist in Nigeria. Alara unfortunately lost his dad on August 29, 2014 to cancer.
- 2face Idibia: The Music legend announced that his father had been battling cancer for a while until his father was claimed by prostate cancer on August 23, 2014. After the loss of his dad, Pa Michael Idibia, 2face is now involved in charities pertaining to the awareness and prevention of prostate cancer in NIgeria.
Chike Ike: Nollywood actress took to her Instagram page to share the loss of her beloved father who passed away on September 6, 2014. Her father had undergone surgery in India prior to his death but eventually succumbed to the illness.Beverly Osu: Big Brother Africa “The Chase” contestant is among the celebrities who lost a family in such a short amount of time. The actress was in great shock when her dad passed on during the first week in september. Her father will be buried in her hometown of Delta State on September 19 and 20, 2014.Omoni Oboli: Nollywood actress announced the passing on of her dear grand mother Mrs Alice Ikpebu Ukey via social media. The mother of three paid tribute to her granny, wishing she had a chance to see her one more time.
