CONFIRMED! Why Pastor Anita Oyakhilome Wants A Divorce

The rumours that Pastor Anita Oyakhilome has filed for a divorce from Pastor Chris have been confirmed by an insider.

The news first broke on August 29, 2014 when The Cable revealed that a divorce case had been filed in a UK court on Anita's behalf.
A source has told Pulse.ng that Mrs. Oyakhilome is indeed seeking a divorce but that the situation involves more than meets the eye.

According to the source Pastor Anita has accused Pastor Chris of adultery but only based on unfounded claims.

“It is true that she filed for divorce but it is only because of her bad friends. Pastor Chris usually travels with some high ranking female officials of the church and some friends of Pastor Anita told her that they saw him in compromising positions with the women. She has no proof of infidelity, she didn’t see anything herself. She is just acting on her friends’ claims”

Another source says that the trouble between them is linked to Pastor Anita’s desire to have more power in the church.

“Pastor Anita has been putting pressure on Pastor Chris to make her second in command of the church. Pastor Chris refused to do this because he believes in the hierarchy of the church. This is one of the reasons why they have problems”

This was seemingly corroborated by Pastor Chris himself in a speech he reportedly gave on May 16, 2014 at the Christ Embassy Branch in Bermondsey, UK. He said:

“Some pastors’ wives think when they marry a pastor they are equal to the pastor. My wife thinks so, as a matter of fact, Rev. Tom was her pastor before I married her and Rev. Ray and Evang. Owase were her leaders long before I married her. How come she thinks she's senior to them now?
I already started Christ Embassy before I married her. I didn't marry her and said we should start Christ Embassy. I was already pastoring. I already set my sail and knew my direction before I married her. I only said come and help me.

Be careful of the friends you keep. My wife keeps friends who bring out the worst in her and help her see the worst in people instead of keeping friends that will help her vision especially as the wife of a global pastor like me.”

The divorce case was filed on April 9, 2014 at Divorce Section A, Central Family Court, First Avenue House, High Holborn, London, UK by Attwaters Jameson Hill Solicitors on Anita Oyakhilome’s behalf.
The couple have 2 teenage daughters, Sharon and Charlyn.
